The Student Development Services (SDS) Office is a centralized support system that aims:
- Enrich and promote the personal development, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and civic responsibility of students.
- Offers a diverse range of services and programs tailored to help students reach their full potential and foster a community that values inclusivity and diversity.
The SDS Office is dedicated to create a holistic learning environment that empowers students to become well-rounded individuals and productive citizens for the sustainable development of Bohol and the country.

Student Supreme Government
The Supreme Student Government (SSG) is the foremost co-curricular student organization authorized to operate and implement pertinent programs, projects and activities in school.
Lays the ground work for good governance, volunteerism, unity and cooperation by providing the students various venues where they can improve leadership, knowledge, skills and attitude.
Trains students to become better members of society in accordance with the ideals and principles of participatory democracy and good citizenship.

Future Technologists of the Philippines
The Future Technologists of the Philippines (FTP) is a recognized student organization at Bohol Island State University – Candijay Campus, dedicated to fostering globally competitive, responsible, and innovative technologists. Guided by the mandates of CHED for quality, accessible, and relevant education, and supported by DICT’s advocacy for digital transformation and ICT development, FTP empowers students to strengthen their technical skills, leadership capabilities, and ethical values. The organization promotes transparency, accountability, and active participation, serving as a platform for skills enhancement, community engagement, and leadership development in the field of technology. Through collaborative efforts with the university, FTP aims to cultivate future-ready professionals who will contribute to national progress and digital innovation.

The unit is tasked to explore income generating opportunities, submit written recommendations, discuss opportunities to the university administrators, implement projects and ensure proper management to maximize its profitability.

Accredited student organizations should be established in the institution to promote leadership skills and opportunities for personal and organizational effectiveness.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- To provide social and cultural activities that enhance the educational and personal development of students.
- To provide extra-curricular programs to students.
- To provide opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and individual responsibility through participation in student activities.
- To provide opportunities for students, to develop an understanding and appreciation of other cultures
Activities:
- Carrying out recreation programs and services.
- Working with students to develop arts and cultural programs.
- Advising student government organizations and other college organizations.
- Designing and carrying out student leadership development programs.
- Advising student social clubs and organizations.
- Encouraging involvement in voluntary community service.
- Advising students on developing religious organizations and activities.

Student Discipline
The institution should promulgate the judicious implementation of institutional rules and regulations governing student behavior.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- To educate students and the community-at-large on school rules/regulations and other current legal issues related to student conduct.
- To resolve any conflict in which a student is involved.
- To complement the efforts of other units or individuals such as faculty, police and residential life in providing an environment that is conducive to learning by consistently enforcing school policies and regulations.
- To administer the disciplinary process in a manner that respects the due process and right of students while maintaining the integrity of the institution.
- To minimize student misconduct and to educate students on critical issues such as good citizenship, substance abuse, and relationship violence.
Activities:
- Explaining the unit’s role through new student orientation program.
- Training all staff members responsible for the administration of the disciplinary process.
- Conducting educational programs for students on disciplinary process.
- Sanctioning students for misconduct through the university civil security office.
- Keeping records of students involved in misconduct cases.

The institution should have a students’ official publication/organ/journal.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Serve as information dissemination tool for the community to keep abreast with campus activities.
- Reflect students’ ideas, opinions and concerns.
- Hone the journalistic skills and prepare them for possible writing careers in the future.
Activities:
- Conducting a local journalism workshop at the start of the school year to identify potential writers in the campus.
- Inviting speakers to discuss the various areas of journalistic writing: news, editorial, sports, features, copy reading and headline writing.
- Selecting members of the editorial staff.
- Conducting journalism contests to budding journalists.
- Producing a school paper issue within the school year.
- Attending and joining press conferences/contests in the division, regional and/or national levels.
- Advising student writer on matters pertinent to campus journalism.

Multi-Faith Services
The institution should provide an environment conducive to free expression of one’s religious orientation in accordance with institutional principles and policies.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- To identify core group of students and faculty interested in exercising their religious freedom.
- To assist students and faculty members in their quest for spiritual life.
- To work with student groups in providing opportunities for personal spiritual enrichment.
- To create an atmosphere of religious co-operation regardless of faith among the students.
- To provide the ministry of students a network of contacts of other faiths.

Services for Students with Special Needs
An act expanding the positions reserved for persons with disability, amending for the purpose of R.A. No. 7277. Student of special needs should be be established in the institution access to quality. The school must ensure the opportunities of these students. The school shall also promote the provision by learning institute that will facilitate the learning process for disabled persons.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- To develop the materials, appliances and technical aids for disabled persons.
- To eliminate social barriers and discrimination against disabled persons.
- To promote the right to health of disabled person.
- To provide auxiliary services that will restore their social functioning in community affairs.
