Bohol Island State University – Candijay Campus, formerly CVSCAFT- Candijay in June 1998 and Bohol School of Fisheries (BSF) established in July 1959. The BSF in 1980 was classified as an institution at the tertiary level and remained the only DECS-supervised tertiary fishery institution in Region VII. Today, the BISU-Candijay Campus is an institution of higher learning. BISU Candijay Campus, started to offer a Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Management in the first semester of AY 2008- 2009 by virtue of BOT Res. No. 21, s. 2008. The MAEd program produced an increasing number of enrollees and graduates with higher employability and promotional rate. With strong linkages and research publication as mandated in CMO 15, s. 2019, handled by 100% full-pledged doctorate degree faculty members, Level II accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), and fully complied the minimum requirements of the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Today, the School of Advanced Studies continue to contribute to the process of advanced knowledge acquisition, generation, sharing, and exchange.

CBM offers two nationally accredited programs: the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM), which holds a Level III AACCUP accreditation with COPC No. 080, series of 2022, CHED notification certification, and institutional membership in the Alliance of Hospitality and Tourism Movers of the Philippines (AHTOMP); and the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA), which has achieved Level II AACCUP accreditation with COPC No. 067, series of 2022, CHED notification certification, and active membership in the Philippine Association of Administrative Professionals and Educators in Office Administration, Inc. (PAAPEOAI). Under the leadership of Dean Dr. Arlinda N. Ramasola and the guidance of the program chairpersons—Ms. Dominica M.
